Bryan’s Mission

Bryan knows we can do more to expand education opportunities, advocate for teachers, and employ strategies that advance the equitable treatment of students. With Bryan on board, MISD will demonstrate the positive and progressive change in education our community desires and deserves.

Bryan understands that each individual is unique, and recognizes the importance of celebrating each child’s individual differences and unique possibilities. These difference present themselves along the dimensions of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, academic abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, or other ideologies.

Equity is vital to lifelong success. Bryan believes equitable education means educating the whole child in ways that amplify their unique abilities and turns their weaknesses into strengths. That means giving teachers more control of their classrooms, and the community more resources as a whole.

When we include all children in our programs, they learn acceptance of other people, and that each person has unique abilities. Children learn from each other. Working together and creating partnerships with families is an important part of inclusion, and can help children reach their developmental potential.

Who Is Bryan Nya?

I Want to Ensure Every Manor Student Gets the Education They Deserve

Bryan has a vision for Manor schools inspired by his life-long attendance at Manor ISD before graduating from Manor High School. Bryan represented the best Manor ISD has to offer as an outstanding student at Houston-Tillotson University.

My Mission

I envision utilizing an agenda that is pragmatic and rooted in strategies, proven effective. Focusing on efforts to expand education opportunities, advocate for teachers, and employ strategies that advance the equitable treatment of students. MISD will demonstrate that positive and progressive change in education.

  • Better care for all our great Teachers
  • Supporting the whole child on all levels
  • Preparing all students for life after high school, be it College, Military, or the Workforce
  • Prevent Gun Violence

“I, Bryan S. Nya, recognize that I have responsibilities as well as rights; that our destinies are bound together; that a freedom which only asks what’s in it for me, a freedom without a commitment to others, a freedom without love or charity or duty or patriotism, is unworthy of our founding ideals, and those who died in their defense.”

Let’s Stand Together

I am committed to taking purposeful action in the face of fear, uncertainty, and discomfort.

I am committed to living in alignment with the Manor community’s deepest values, and with clear eyes and understanding of the challenges we face.

I strive to see through the eyes of others.

I will lead with a paradoxical balance of humility and ambition.

I, along with the community, will hold myself to the highest of standards as we strive together to execute the mission and steward our resources.
